Seven Chakras-(7 Chakras)
The word chakra in Sanskrit means wheel or disk and signifies one of seven basic energy centers in the body. Each of these centers corresponds to an area of the body, certain behavioral characteristics, stage of spiritual growth and correlates to major nerve ganglia branching forth from the spinal column. Chakras are whirling concentrated energy centers that receive, assimilate and express life force energy. Chakras draw in Divine life-force energy from the Universe and distribute this vital energy to the physical glands and organs in the body and through the bloodstream and nervous system for optimum health and well-being. There are 7 chakras or energy points located within our physical bodies.
These 7 Chakras are located deep within the center of the physical body next to a hormonal gland along the spinal column. The chakras are not physical. Their interaction with the physical body is through two major vehicles, the endocrine system and the nervous system. Each of the 7 chakras is associated with one of the seven endocrine glands, and also with a group of nerves called a plexus. Thus, each of the 7 chakras can be associated with particular parts of the body and particular functions within the body controlled by that plexus or that endocrine gland associated with that chakra. Each of the 7 chakras represents a definite set of desires that correspond to a particular element therefore understanding of the 7 chakras offers a way to balance ones desires and lead a more happy and spiritual life along personal destiny. These 7 chakras are interrelated so one affects another.
