- For oily skin mix half cup cooked oatmeal, 1 Tablespoon lemon juice, 1 egg white and half cup mashed apple into a smooth paste. Apply it to the face, leave on for 15 minutes and then wash off.
- Take chunks of seeded and pureed fresh cucumber, 1 tsp. lemon juice, 1 egg white, 1 tbsp yogurt and 2 tsp powdered milk. This paste acts as a great cleanser for the skin and also great for easing of freckles.
- Sea salt is the best ingredient you can use for your body. Mixing it with water to the consistency of paste, and rubbing it on your knees, elbows and feet removes dead skin. If you have a more sensitive skin, grind oatmeal flakes in a clean coffee grinder; mix it with brown sugar, aloe, and lemon juice, make a paste and apply it on skin.
- For a wrinkled skin mash potatoes to a creamy texture with a little milk, mix with a few drops of glycerin and rose water and apply this mixture to the area where skin is wrinkled. Potato is very good natural home remedy for skin care as it is excellent source of minerals.
- Apply the mixture of 1 teaspoon of pure honey, white of an egg and a grated potato on the skin. Let it dry for sometime and then wash it off with cold water. It brings real freshness to the skin.

- Whole milk is very good for skin. The fat and lactic acids in milk have soothing qualities for sunburned skin. Soak a soft cloth or cotton gauze in cool whole milk, and dab carefully onto the burned skin. Do this for around 20 minutes and rinse off with cool water.
- The tannin in tea is the active ingredient, which helps to soothe and relieve some of the discomfort of sunburned skin. Make a tea without sugar, allow it to cool completely and slosh the affected areas with a soft sponge or washcloth.
- Take 2 to 3 tablespoons of fresh or dried flower tops of chamomile or lavender flowers and make an herbal infusion by pouring near-boiling water. Add 1 ounce, or 2 tablespoons, of cider vinegar and mix well. Pour this lotion into a spray bottle for easy application and use daily after cleansing the skin. It acts as a good skin toner.
- For making a facial scrub, mix yogurt and finely grounded walnuts and apply it on skin. To bring silky soft feel in the skin use the mixture of 5 or 6 strawberries, orange juice and china clay on the skin.
- Vitamin C, which is found in citrus fruits as well as in veggies such as peppers, broccoli, tomatoes, and sweet potatoes, is also great for your skin. For tightening of the skin the tomato, sandalwood powder and china clay pack works effectively.
