Raindrop Technique-Therapy Cautions
Cautions to be taken while doing Raindrop Technique using Raindrop Essential Oils:
- Raindrop Technique is not a cure-all or a magic bullet. A healthy balanced body is the result of a well-rounded program of exercise and proper diet. This is only one tool to help restore balance in the body. Healthy eating habits and a positive, open mind will also help prepare the body and skin to accept the oils better and more rapidly.
- If there is a fold in the skin on the back of the neck or elsewhere, please note that essential oils can accumulate there. Be aware of this as you proceed, and if the recipient notices a burning sensation in a skin fold, be prepared to add V6 Oil Complex or massage oil there.
- The high phenol content of oregano and thyme essential oils can produce excess warming or reddening to the skin, particularly with fair-skinned people. Following the application of thyme and oregano, if the recipient becomes uncomfortable with burning sensations, apply 5-10 drops of vegetable or massage oil over affected area.
- Special care must be taken while following step12 because the back can become hot. The heat will usually build slowly and peak in about 3-8 minutes, before cooling down to the point where it feels quite pleasant. The greater the inflammation and viral infection along the spine, the hotter the area along the spine will become.
- If the heat becomes uncomfortable, place a dry, folded towel between the back and the damp towel. If the warming sensation continues to be uncomfortable, remove all towels and massage the area with 10-15 drops of vegetable or massage oil.
