Raindrop Technique-Steps-1-8
Following are the steps 1 to 8 for Raindrop Technique using Raindrop essential oils.
Raindrop Technique STEP 1: Apply Valor blend to feet and
shoulders
Oregano, thyme, and the Valor blend are the foundation oils for all Raindrop
Technique work. The technique always begins with the application of Valor to
the feet and shoulders. This step works on the physical, electrical, spiritual,
and emotional levels, supporting the physical and energy alignment of the body.
The key to using this oil blend is patience. Once the frequencies begin to balance,
a structural alignment will much more likely begin to occur.
Put 6 drops of Valor into your left hand and apply to the left foot first if the recipient is a woman; put the oil in the right hand and apply to the right foot first if the recipient is a man. Then apply the oil on the other foot.
Raindrop Technique STEP 2: Place hands on recipient's feet and shoulders
- Cross your hands and place your palms as flat as possible against the soles of the receiver's feet. This hand crossing enables the facilitator to place the right palm on the right foot and the left palm on the left foot. The facilitator should hold this position for at least 5 minutes.
- If two facilitators are available, the second should sit or stand at the recipient's head and apply three drops of Valor to each shoulder. The right palm is placed on the recipient's right shoulder and left palm is placed on the left shoulder at the same time. There must be as much palm-to-shoulder contact as possible.
- Let your mind be free and peaceful. Encourage the recipient to take deep breaths, inhaling and exhaling deeply and slowly, so they engage in their own healing. The recipient may feel a little heat or tingling on the feet, or an energy working up through the legs to the back, even moving as high as the head. Some facilitators may feel their hands become warm or tingly. Sometimes the facilitator may feel a pulsating effect. The facilitator should try to feel the energy coming through the recipient's feet. Once you feel energy and it is equal in both feet, you can release.
The vertebrae can achieve some realignment with this initial application alone. However, if there are people present with hidden negative attitudes, the results may be less than optimal.
Raindrop Technique STEP 3: Apply seven essential oils
to the feet.
In this step we will apply the seven single oils in a specific order to the
spinal Vita Flex area of the soles of the feet using the Vita Flex Technique.
The procedure for this portion of Raindrop technique involves a series of substeps
as follows:
A. Place 2-3 drops of oregano, which has potent antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties in the palm of the left hand. Dip the fingertips of the right hand in the oil, stir clockwise three times and apply along the spine Vita Flex points of the right foot. This is the area along the bottom inside edge of the foot from the heel to the tip of the big toe. Massage with Vita Flex Technique the full length of this area three times. Remember to use the right hand for both oil application and Vita Flex massage on the right foot.
B. Thyme is highly antimicrobial, inhibiting the growth of infectious microorganisms. It easily penetrates the skin and travels throughout the body Apply 2-3 drops of thyme essential oil in the same manner as above on right foot.
C. Basil or Balsam Fir: Basil has antispasmodic properties that relax muscles. It is also anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial. Balsam fir is an excellent substitute for basil and is less irritating to sensitive skin. Apply 2-3 drops of basil or balsam fir in the same manner as above on the right foot.
D. Cypress oil improves circulation, relieves spasms and swelling, and helps heal damaged tissue. Apply 2-3 drops of cypress in the same manner as above on the right foot.
E. Wintergreen and Birch are virtually identical chemically. They are anti-inflammatory and analgesic (pain-relieving) due to their high methyl salicylate content. They are excellent for bones and joints. Apply 2-3 drops of wintergreen or birch in the same manner as above on the right foot.
F. Marjoram oil is antispasmodic and muscle relaxing. Apply 2-3 drops of marjoram in the same manner as above on the right foot.
G. Peppermint enhances the effects of all the preceding essential oils. It also has pain-killing and antimicrobial properties; stimulating circulation and cooling inflamed tissue. Apply 2-3 drops of peppermint in the same manner as above on the right foot.
Repeat steps A-G, on the left foot, placing the oils in the palm of the right hand and applying them and doing Vita Flex on the left foot with the left hand.
Raindrop Technique STEP 4: Apply oregano and thyme to
spine
Have the recipient turn over on their stomach to expose the back. Do this carefully
to protect the recipient's modesty. Hold the bottle six inches above the skin
and evenly space 2-4 drops of oregano oil along the center of the spine from
bottom to top. Immediately after applying oregano, with 6-inch brush-like strokes,
brush the backs of your fingertips along the spine as you "feather up"
the back from the sacrum (base of spine) to the atlas (hair line on back of
neck). Repeat this feathering process two more times. In the same way as above,
evenly space 3-5 drops of thyme oil along the center of the spine from bottom
to top. Feather in the thyme just as you did for oregano.
Raindrop Technique STEP 5: Apply basil or balsam fir;
massage spinal muscles using circular motions
Evenly drop 6-10 drops of basil or balsam fir evenly along the center of the
spine. Spread the oil over the back by using the feathering technique described
in step 4. In small circular clockwise motions (using the pads of the fingertips
of both hands placed side by side) massage the muscles on each side of the spine.
Start at the sacrum and work up to the atlas, using the fingertips to gently
push or pull the tissue away from the spine. After finishing one side of the
spine, start on the other side. Do not work directly on the spine, but on the
muscles on either side of the spine. Do not apply direct pressure to the vertebrae.
Repeat this step two more times.
Raindrop Technique STEP 6: Apply cypress and do a finger
straddle/hand "saw" massage
Evenly drop 6-10 drops of cypress along the center of the spine. Spread the
oil over the spine and spinal muscles using the feathering technique described
in Step 4. Stand on the recipient's left side near the shoulder area, facing
the recipient's feet. Straddle the spine at the sacrum with the index and middle
fingers of the non-dominant hand. Place the bottom edge of the dominant hand
just below the middle joints of the two straddling fingers.
Simultaneously perform the following two motions:
1. Apply moderate downward pressure with the straddling fingers while pulling
them slowly to the atlas of the spine.
2. Using an equal downward pressure, "saw" the dominant hand back
and forth, using short, rapid 1-inch strokes, moving the two straddling fingers
back and forth as you slide them up the spine all the way to the hairline.Repeat
this step two more times.
Raindrop Technique STEP 7: Apply wintergreen or birch
and thumb-roll up the spine
Evenly drop 6-10 drops of wintergreen or birch along the center of the spine.
Spread the oil over the spine and spinal muscles using the feathering technique
described in Step 4. With your thumbs one inch apart on either side of the spine,
use the Vita Flex method of thumb-rolling to work up the spine a thumbwidth
at a time, from the sacrum to the atlas. Apply mild pressure. You may want to
offset your thumbs by one inch to avoid bumping thumbs on the inward roll. Continue
to roll your thumbs lightly over onto the nails and then release. Repeat this
step two more times.
Raindrop Technique STEP 8: Apply marjoram and peppermint
to spinal muscles using flared feather strokes
We will apply the marjoram and peppermint oils in the sequence listed to the
muscles along either side of the spine and feather them to the rib and shoulders
areas of the back.
- Evenly drop 6-10 drops of marjoram onto the muscles along each side of the spine (12-20 drops total)
- After applying marjoram, with the nail side of your fingertips, use 6-inch brush-like strokes to feather the oil up the spine from the sacrum to the atlas. Repeat this step two more times.
- Then, extending the feather strokes, lightly flare the fingertips out towards the sides of the back as you feather up the spine. Flare right hand to the right side of the back, and the left hand to the left side of the back, moving all the way to the side of the rib cage. Repeat this step two more times. This light stroking, or feathering, is called "effleurage".
- Starting at the sacrum, do a second set of flared feather strokes moving up the full length of the spine to the atlas. Flare your fingertips out over the shoulders and neck when you reach the atlas. Repeat this two more times, for a total of three times.
- Apply and feather a total of 6-10 drops of peppermint essential oil using the same process.
