Performing Ayurveda Cleansing At Home
Holistic Healing with Ayurveda
Ayurveda might be treated as an alternative form of medicine but it is actually deeply rooted in physiology. Hence, it advocates specific type of diet approach and regular performance of internal cleansing to ensure that you can flush out harmful toxins off your system. Compare your digestive system to a plumbing system at home and if you can regularly cleanse it, the more efficient the system is in maintaining all other functions.
On a much deeper level in Ayurveda, toxins must be eliminated off your body since they inhibit proper digestion. If you allow these toxins to remain inside your body, it disrupts the natural flow of energy in your body. To make it worse, it causes an escalating build-up of toxins that cause greater harm in the long run.
There are several aspects into the process of internal cleansing through Ayurveda that you need to keep in mind such that you can get rid of any imbalances and maintain overall health.
Ideal Time For Ayurvedic Cleansing
In Ayurveda, there are two considered ideal time for practicing Ayurvedic cleansing: seasonal (ritucharya) and daily (dinacharya). There are different guidelines you need to observe for each one and their impact to your health will gradually vary as well.
Experts recommend adapting your at-home cleansing when the seasons change, such that you can prepare your body for any type of physical imbalances that might develop. On the other hand, Spring is another highly recommended season to perform internal cleansing such that you are “in synch” with the season's time for rejuvenation.
