Add a handful of chopped parsley and then bring the water down to a simmer. Steep it for half an hour. Strain the tea and then drink it. You can also add honey for better taste. Drinking this tea 3-4 times a day during or after the regular time when the menstruation is expected helps in inducing menstration fast. Parsley twigs also have the same effect as that of a tea. Insert few parsley twigs into the vagina and change it every 12 hours. This also helps in inducing menstration.
Pennyroyal: A tea made out of Pennyroyal is also considered to be effective in inducing menstration. It helps to induce menstration by contracting the muscles of uterus. Those who suffer from bad period cramps should not take it. Boil some water in a pan. Steep pennyroyal twigs for quarter of an hour. Drink this tea for 3-4 times a day.

Allow it to cool a bit and then drink. Drink this tea 3-4 times a day. In some women it can cause hot flashes and restlessness.
Dong quai: Dong quai acts in a similar way as parsley. It also helps in inducing menstration by relaxing and softening and allowing the release of menstrual material. Boil some water in a pan. Take it from heat and put some dried roots of Dong quai in it. Steep it for quarter of an hour and drink it every three to four hours. Fresh root can contain toxins that are harmful therefore try to use dried root. Remember that Dong quai can be dangerous if you suffer from cancer or heart problems. So avoid it.

Inducing Menstration by Other Means
Medication: If all the natural methods of inducing menstration fail, women generally move towards medications. Medications can be more effective than natural methods but are generally not preferred as they often have bad effects. There are many pills that induce menstration. They help by first building up the uterus lining by giving your body progesterone and then after stopping the pills the drop will bring on periods
Vitamin C: Taking a few Vitamin C tablets a day helps in inducing menstration. Vitamin C helps by starving the uterus of progesterone, which then helps in breaking down the uterus walls and results in bringing on menstration. Remember that high dosages of Vitamin C tablets can cause problems so only a few tablets should be taken.
Sex: Having sex just before the expected menstration also helps to bring on menstration. The contractions and relaxation that your vagina goes through can start the shedding process as more blood flows to the vaginal regions during arousal. Semen also helps in softening the cervix and allowing menstrual material out from the vagina.
Taking hot baths and doing some exercises like sit-ups also help in inducing menstration.
