Effective Home Remedies for Eczema

Eczema is one of the skin disorders, which is often characterized by a red dry, itchy skin. The itchiness and the burning caused due to eczema is unbearable and often makes you impossible to concentrate on your work. There is no permanent cure for eczema.   • Make a mixture of one-teaspoon camphor and one-teaspoon sandalwood paste. Apply this paste on the affected areas. This is one of the best home remedies for eczema.
  • Make a paste by adding one tablespoon of bitter neem leaves and one tablespoon of turmeric powder. Apply this paste on the rashes.
  • Make a smooth paste of nutmeg by rubbing it against a stone and adding a few drops of water to it. Apply this paste to the affected areas.
  • Add spinach juice and carrot juice and apply it on the affected area.

  • Boil some water and add red henna to it until you get a mixture. Smear the paste over the affected area and leave it for half an hour. Rinse it off. Apply the paste after 3-4 hours if required.
  • Drinking tomato juice daily will relieve the symptoms of eczema.
  • Drinking fresh apricot leaves juice is helpful in curing eczema.
  • Drink orange juice.
  • Drink plenty of water.
  • Add half a tablespoon of turmeric powder to half a cup of water and drink.
  • Add one tablespoon of vinegar and one tablespoon of honey to the water and drink the mixture.
  • Add 5 drops of castor oil to half cup of any of the juices and drink it on an empty stomach in the morning.
  • Sometimes deficiency of Vitamin B6 may cause eczema, therefore increase it's intake.
  • Taking an oatmeal bath is very useful and an effective home remedy for treating eczema. You can take bath by pouring 2 cups of colloidal oatmeal into a tub of lukewarm water.
  • Use mild soaps, detergents and wear 100 percent cotton clothing.
