Drink Water to Lose Weight

Can drinking water help you to lose weight?

Drink water to lose weight!! Do you believe this? Yes it's possible to lose weight by drinking lots of water. Water, the universally available liquid can be used in treatment of obesity naturally. Human body requires at least 8 glasses of water each day. Remember that drinking eight 8-ounce glasses of water each day is as important to weight maintenance as it is to weight loss. Water facilitates weight loss and helps you stay healthy and regular, even when you are on a diet. To increase weight loss effect of water, just add a slice of lemon to each glassful to make it more effective.

If you don't drink enough, your body tries to hold onto all the water it can get. The water is stored between the cells and shows up as extra weight, which may swell up your feet, legs and hands. When your body gets enough water, the stored water is released. You need water for your body to burn fat. So drink water to lose weight and burn fats. The more water you drink, the less you'll eat. Water is a natural appetite suppressant. A glass full of water before eating the food will help you feel full and eat less. You'll also get rid of extra salt by drinking water.

Some people give up water when they are on diet, thinking that they'll lose weight. But just the opposite happens. If you don't drink enough water every day, your body may be storing water and fat that you don't want. Most people notice a significant weight loss about a week after starting a restrictive diet. Although this may be the good news for them, they don't know that, the majority of that loss is water. The reduction in food and hence the water contained in the food is the reason for this apparent weight loss. This loss of water from your body will be replaced once you start to eat normally again and you won't have achieved your aim of losing any fat deposits.

Drinking water also helps prevent water retention. Without water, your kidneys can't do their job properly and your liver must pitch in to help. While it's helping the kidneys, your liver can't burn much fat, so some of the fat that would normally be used as fuel gets stored in your body instead. Drinking more water lets the liver get back to its own job-turning fat into fuel. The more water you drink, the more your kidneys are stimulated, which results in the water being eliminated more efficiently by your body and in the process, your body will burn some more calories.

Whenever you feel thirsty always drink water to lose weight in place of diet beverages since there is no caffeine in water and it is calorie free! Avoid artificially sweetened beverages of all types. Diet drinks and artificially sweetened desserts just turn on your appetite without satisfying it; possibly leading you to overeat at other times. When you need a drink, try water! If you crave something sweet, have a drink of water.

Many people don't drink water because they won't like its taste. For these people it's difficult to increase the amount of water suddenly. So start gradually and add to it over time. Add one glass of water per day and when this has become a habit, add another glass. To achieve drinking more water, you may need to be more organized, so that water is always available to you. You could even add a slice of lemon to enhance the taste. There will be a time when drinking water just comes naturally to you and becomes a daily habit in your life.

It has been observed that the majority of people whether they want to lose weight or not, don't drink enough water. Consumption of 8-9 glasses of water daily is necessary. Water helps you stay healthy and lose weight. Weight loss is achieved by reducing fat deposits within your body. Water is essential to enable your body to break down and metabolize your fat. If you don't drink enough water you will slow down your weight loss since water is essential to ensure proper bodily functions, help to eliminate waste from your body, maintain muscle tone, keep your cardiovascular system efficient and keep your skin clear and glowing.
