Blackhead Removal
Almost every person right from a teenager to an adult has a blackhead in his lifetime. So blackhead removal is a problem of discussion for almost all of them. Most of the people think that squeezing out a blackhead is the best solution for the problem. Yes, gentle squeezing may help you in blackhead removal but squeezing too hard may lead to skin damage. Also, squeezing is not a permanent solution for blackhead removal. It helps you get rid of blackheads temporarily. Firstly we will see some tips for gentle blackhead removal:
- Use a gentle cleanser in combination with an exfoliant to remove old skin cells and expose the blackheads.
- Pat your face dry.
- Place slightly warm compress over the face that is place a slightly warm, wet cloth over your face for about 10 to 15 minutes. This helps in softening the blackhead, making it much more easier to remove.
- Again pat your face dry.
- Take a piece of cloth and place it on the tip of each finger in order to avoid slipping that may cause skin damage.
- Then apply a gentle even pressure on both the sides of blackhead by pushing it down first and then up around the blemish.
Now we will move on to some of the home remedies used for blackhead removal.
- Boil one and half cups of water and put half a tablespoon of boric powder in it. Dip a clean face napkin in this hot solution and then press the napkin on the skin. Repeat this two times. Slowly extract blackheads with the help of blackhead remover and sterilized cotton wool. Then pat on an astrigent. This is one of the best home remedies for blackhead removal.
- Add 2-3 drops of your favorite essential oil to 30 ml each of unflavored gelatin and milk. Microwave the mixture for about 10 seconds. Apply the mixture on the affected area. Keep it for half an hour. Wash it first with warm water and then with cold water in order to close the pores. Pat your face dry with a towel.
- Mix one teaspoon of coriander leaves juice to half teaspoon of turmeric powder. Apply it on the face and keep it overnight. Wash the face with cold water the next day.
- Take equal amounts of water and baking soda. Mix both of them. Rub this solution on the affected area for few minutes. Wash your face with lukewarm water. You will see that some of your blackheads are removed.
- Apply lemon juice directly on the affected areas. Repeat this for 2-3 times a day. It will remove the blackheads by tightening your pores.
- Crush some methi (fenugreek) leaves and make a paste with water. Apply it on the face or only on the affected area. Leave it for 10-15 minutes. Wash it with lukewarm water. This prevents blackheads formation of blackheads by decreasing its growth.
- Add one teaspoon of curd to rice flour. Make a paste. Apply it on affected area and keep for 10-15 minutes. Wash the face with cold water.
- Grate a potato and apply it directly on the affected area. Keep for sometime and then wash it off.
- Take equal ratio of limejuice and evenly powdered cinnamon. Mix both of them. Apply it on the face. Keep it overnight. Wash the face in the morning.
- Blend crushed drumstick pods and leaves. Add some lemon juice to make a paste. Apply this paste on the face.
- Apply warm honey on the affected areas. Keep it for 10 minutes and then wash.
You can try out these easy to make home remedies for blackhead removal. They will definitely help you to get rid of blackheads. You can also use blackhead strips for removing the blackheads present on the nose. Place this strip over the nose for about 10 minutes and then pull it off. This is a quick and easy to use method of removing blackheads.
