Anxiety Attack Symptoms
Anxiety-Attack-Symptoms
An anxiety attack can be a very terrifying experience. Often a person can experience a anxiety attack out of the blue for no particular reason. It is sometimes difficult to diagnose anxiety attack properly because the symptoms of anxiety are also symptoms shared by other conditions, or symptoms that can occur without any condition at all. Many people report varied anxiety attack symptoms. The most common are:
- An accelerated heart rate
- Palpitations
- Trembling
- Unable to relax
- Breathlessness
- A choking sensation
- Sweating
- Chest pain
- Nausea
- Stomach Cramps
- Feeling dizzy
- Derealization (a feeling of unreality)
- Depersonalization (a feeling of being detached from oneself)
- Fear of losing control or going crazy
- Chills or hot flashes
- Numbness or a tingling sensation
- Fear of dying
- Worrying constantly
- Feeling tired
- Irritable
- Trouble falling or staying asleep
- Specific obsessions over stressful topics
- Difficulty thinking about anything besides a stressful topic
- Trouble concentrating
- Fluctuations in appetite
- Being overly cautious
- Being startled easily
- Having an omnipresent feeling of impending danger or disaster.
A panic attack begins with an unusual bodily sensation from the list above. Often panic attacks occur in a situation where the person feels they cannot exit easily from such as a meeting, or out socializing. Others can experience an episode of anxiety for no apparent reason while at home or in the middle of sleep.
What initially may have been a once off "out of the blue" panic attack can develop into a perpetual cycle of fear and anxiety. This cycle can last from weeks to years depending on how much help the person receives. Panic and anxiety attacks are not a mental illness. This disorder is very treatable. Often people get caught in a totally unnecessary long-term cycle of anxiety and panic attacks when they could be free of the condition much quicker. One of the greatest tools is well-informed information and clear direction.
Anxiety attack symptoms can seem to bring a person down and keep them down. This creates a feeling of immense pressure on the individual. However, the anxiety attack symptoms can be relieved with the proper treatment so that a person who experiences them can live a normal and productive life. Learning more about yourself, your feelings and what may be causing the stresses in your life is an important step to finding a long-term solution.
